Villa College has officially launched the Alumni Chapter - Psychology and Counselling, establishing a structured platform to connect graduates with academia and industry practice. The launch highlighted the strategic importance of institutional alumni relations, featuring an introductory address by the Director of Marketing, Nizana Ali Didi. The event concluded with the formal presentation of appointment certificates to the newly established committee and inaugural remarks by the chapter president, marking an institutional milestone in strengthening graduate networks across the discipline.

The newly appointed Executive Committee is comprised of Villa College alumni across key psychological specialisms. The chapter is led by alumni President Fathimath Shazleena and Vice President Hawwa Maisha, both graduates of the Master of Science in Counselling programme. Operational and coordination roles are anchored by alumni General Secretary Mariyam Malsa, Coordinator Aminath Salsabeel Binth Ahmed, and Member Aishath Fiureen Mohamed, each holding a Bachelor of Psychology qualification. Organisational expertise is represented by alumni Treasurer Mariyam Hudhuna Shareef and Member Khadheeja Ziyan Mohamed, both graduates of the Master of Organisational Psychology programme. This multidisciplinary leadership bridges foundational psychology, therapeutic counselling, and workplace behavioural science within a unified network.

For the wider business community and healthcare sector, the activation of this chapter provides clear strategic value. By uniting qualified alumni practitioners across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, the network establishes practical frameworks for student mentorship, continuing professional development, and evidence-informed mental health initiatives. The remarks delivered by alumni President Fathimath Shazleena emphasised the chapter's commitment to advancing professional standards and community wellbeing. Organisations seeking to implement robust workplace wellbeing frameworks or engage with qualified practitioners can draw upon this dedicated network, reinforcing the vital link between academic achievement and industry practice.
