Villa College welcomed the Ambassador of Japan to the Maldives, Her Excellency Ishigami Rumiko, and the Embassy delegation to the QI Campus for an official book handover under the Read Japan Project. During the ceremony, the Villa College Library formally received twenty-seven curated English-language books alongside a commemorative certificate. Administered by the Tokyo Foundation with support from The Nippon Foundation, this initiative provides academic institutions with quality literature covering Japanese history, society, and innovation to support ongoing student learning.
Following the presentation, Her Excellency and the Embassy team toured the campus to view the college's modern developments and specialised facilities. The visit concluded with a meeting between Villa College executives, senior staff, and the Embassy delegation to discuss potential areas for future academic and cultural collaboration.
Villa College extends its sincere appreciation to the Embassy of Japan for the generous book contribution and constructive discussions. This visit reflects the college's continued effort to establish meaningful international partnerships that broaden academic resources and connect students with global perspectives.
