Villa College demonstrated its unwavering commitment to community social responsibility by actively participating in the Migrant Worker Health & Legal Services Camp held on 23rd January 2026 at Ferry Terminal Park, Hulhumale'. This meaningful initiative was organised in observance of International Migrants Day 2025, bringing together multiple stakeholders to address the diverse needs of migrant workers in our community.
The event showcased the collaborative spirit of Villa College through the combined efforts of the Villa College Health Society, Psychology Association, Law Society, and VCARE. Together, these groups delivered a comprehensive range of essential services that addressed both physical and mental health needs alongside critical legal support. Attendees benefited from health education focused on healthy dietary practices, reproductive health screening and counselling, CPR awareness sessions, psychological support and counselling, and legal aid services. This holistic approach ensured that migrant workers received support across multiple dimensions of their wellbeing.
In addition to these vital services, fresh fruits were distributed to 200 migrant workers, reinforcing the importance of nutrition and healthy eating habits as fundamental components of overall wellbeing. This thoughtful gesture exemplified Villa College's belief that meaningful community engagement extends beyond education and professional services to encompass genuine care for the daily welfare of those we serve.
Through initiatives such as this, Villa College continues to reaffirm its strong commitment to inclusivity, community engagement, and social responsibility. We remain dedicated to creating positive impact within our community and supporting the wellbeing of all who contribute to our society.
