Villa College recently hosted a campus recruitment drive in partnership with the National Social Protection Agency, bringing job opportunities directly to our students. The event took place on 18th December 2025 at the Qasim Ibrahim Campus, running from 4:00 pm to 9:00.
The walk-in interview format made the process straightforward and accessible. Instead of navigating formal application procedures off-campus, students could simply come to a familiar setting and meet with hiring managers face-to-face. This approach removed many of the usual hurdles that can make job hunting stressful, particularly for students who are new to the professional recruitment process.
The response was encouraging. Throughout the evening, 28 qualified candidates submitted applications to join the NSPA. These students came prepared to discuss their qualifications and demonstrate their interest in working within the social protection sector. The interactive nature of the sessions allowed for genuine conversations between candidates and recruiters, making it easier to assess fit and potential beyond what appears on a CV.
What made the event work well was its accessibility. By hosting the recruitment drive on campus and extending the hours into the evening, we accommodated students with different schedules and commitments. The informal setting helped candidates feel more comfortable presenting themselves, which benefits both the students looking for opportunities and the organisations looking for talent.
This collaboration with the NSPA shows the value of bringing employers directly to our students. It creates practical pathways from education to employment whilst giving organisations access to motivated candidates who are ready to contribute. We look forward to continuing these types of partnerships that help our graduates transition smoothly into meaningful careers.
