Faculty of Engineering and Technology
The Master of Engineering Management (MEM) is a postgraduate programme designed to advance the professional capability of engineers who aspire to transition into leadership, management and strategic roles within engineering-driven organizations. Today’s engineering landscape demands not only strong technical knowledge, but also skills in project governance, risk intelligence, technology adoption, sustainability integration and strategic business decision-making. This programme directly supports those workforce needs.
The MEM integrates engineering management principles with core business and innovation competencies. Students will study project and risk management, IR technologies, entrepreneurship, sustainability engineering, professional ethics, accounting and finance, energy management and strategic management. Each module is structured to help learners apply management concepts within technical contexts, evaluate trade-offs, optimize resources and drive positive operational performance.
The programme emphasizes problem-based learning, real industry examples, applied decision-making, and professional responsibility. The capstone group project consolidates learning through a real-world engineering management challenge, enabling students to demonstrate strategic planning, teamwork, problem-solving and measurable value creation.
Graduates of this programme will be well-prepared for roles such as Engineering Manager, Project Manager, Technology Transformation Lead, Operations Manager or Sustainability Lead, contributing to future-ready, innovative and responsible engineering practice.
