In alignment with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, Villa College is dedicated to fostering a supportive, healthy environment for all students and staff. To achieve this, the college has established a robust framework of policies designed to promote mental health and overall well-being.
At Villa College, mental health support is a priority. The Student Health and Wellness Policy and the Student Guidance and Counselling Policy are key components of our commitment to student welfare, emphasizing the importance of emotional well-being and the need for accessible support services. These policies set the foundation for a welcoming environment, where students can seek help and guidance for their mental health concerns.
As part of these policies, Villa College offers free psychosocial support through dedicated counselling services, ensuring that students and staff have access to professional resources when needed. To further reinforce these services, the Procedure for Student Guidance and Counselling has been implemented, creating clear guidelines for delivering support in an effective and accessible manner. This structured approach ensures that mental health resources are readily available to all students, promoting a culture where well-being is actively prioritized.
In addition to student support, Villa College has implemented the Staff Health and Wellness Policy (VCEC / HR / PO / 2023 / 76.v1), which establishes a formal framework for supporting and promoting the mental and physical health and well-being of all staff members. Villa College is committed to not only providing immediate support but also promoting long-term emotional resilience and health education. Through awareness programs, wellness initiatives, and ongoing support, we strive to empower our community to take charge of their mental and physical well-being.
