Exciting News! Villa College and Universal Foundation have signed an MoU to commence the 6th Batch of Certificate 3 in Hospitality course through the Discover Hospitality programme.
The MoU was signed today at Villa College by the President of Universal Foundations, Mr Iyaz Waheed and the Vice Rector of Villa College, Dr Ali Najeeb.
Initiated in 2017, under the leadership of Universal Foundation, the Discover Hospitality programme is dedicated to equipping Maldivians with the essential skills and experience required to excel in the dynamic tourism sector. Through this initiative, participants undergo comprehensive training and acquire valuable practical exposure that is highly valued and recognised by the hospitality industry.
The programme structure incorporates theoretical instruction at Villa College, complemented by hands-on practical experience undertaken at Universal-owned resorts. As participants embark on this enriching journey, they are also provided a stipend of MVR 3,000 per month.
We are delighted to share that the Discover Hospitality programme has already successfully trained 139 graduates, contributing significantly to the development of a competent workforce for our nation’s pivotal industry.
