A delegation from MM Shankarrao Chavan Law College, Pune visited Villa College on Sunday, 17th December, to sign an MOU with Villa College.
The Law College is one of the partners of the International Symposium that is being organized by FSL, along with the Human Rights Centre of the University of Essex.
The MOU was signed in hopes to continue holding similar activities in collaboration with Villa College, and to expand to further areas such as research through symposiums and student and staff exchange.
These Symposiums will delve into the multifaceted intersections of the Maldives' legal landscape and international law. The Maldives, known for its unique geographical and cultural characteristics, holds a significant place in the international arena yet remains an unexplored territory in the Asian literature on international law. In light of the critical role that international law plays in shaping the interactions between nations and addressing global challenges, this symposium aims to provide a platform for scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and researchers to engage in thoughtful discussions regarding the legal dimensions of the Maldives' engagement with international law.
