Today, on the auspicious occasion of the 2024 International Chinese Language Day, the Chinese Language Centre of Villa College warmly welcomes esteemed guests, dignitaries, and attendees to a celebration of linguistic and cultural diversity.
The event is graced by the presence of the Guest of Honour, H.E Wang LiXin, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Maldives, and the Chief Guest, Dr. Mariyam Mariya, Minister of Higher Education, Labour, and Skills Development. Their presence underscores the significance of fostering international cooperation and understanding through language education. In addition to the distinguished guests, we are honored to host other Ministers and Senior Staff of Villa College, demonstrating a collective commitment to promoting language learning and cultural exchange.
Throughout the event, attendees were treated to various captivating Chinese cultural performances, which also included a live Chinese calligraphy performance by the talented students of Villa International High School and Iskandhar School. These performances showcases the learning outcomes of Chinese learners and serve as a testament to the vibrancy and richness of Chinese language and culture that the Chinese Language Centre of Villa College has brought to the locals of Maldives.
