LAUNCHING OF VC PAL FOR SEPTEMBER 2020

The September 2020 semester's VC PAL (Peer Assisted Learning) programme was launched on 31 October, by Vice Rector Dr. Ali Najeeb. The launching was followed by PAL Leader training for 12 students selected from 3 different modules. These are two modules from the Faculty of Business Management, and one module from the Faculty of Information and Communications Technology. Students are given the opportunity to be PAL Leaders based on their past performance in the modules as well as their communication and leadership skills. The VC PAL programme identifies and engages as PAL Leaders students with good academic and leadership skills, who will develop their knowledge in the selected modules further, as well as their leadership and facilitation skills. After the training, PAL Leaders will work with students who are currently studying the identified modules to give them further support in their learning. PAL sessions will be held online on a weekly basis. The VC PAL programme was initially launched for students in September 2019, and has been seen as a very successful initiative.
