Male', Maldives - Villa College has announced the launch of its 7th International Conference on Social Research and Innovation (ICSRI 2023), which will take place on June 17 and 18 at the college's premises. The annual research conference, organised and hosted by the Institute for Research and Innovation (IRI), provides an opportunity for researchers, academics, students, and industry experts to showcase and disseminate their research findings and engage in intellectual discussions.
The theme of this year's two-day conference is "Breakthrough to Excellence: Achieving A Networked Community." Keynote speeches by international scholars will be delivered on various topic areas relevant to the conference's theme and tracks. The main feature of the conference will be the presentation of research papers, with panel discussions on pertinent topic areas to initiate forward-looking discourses on those subjects.
During the launching ceremony, Deputy Vice-Rector, Research and Innovation of Villa College, Dr. Mohamed Adil, announced the conference's details and the hybrid event format. He was accompanied by Dr. Azmath Ahmed, ICSRI coordinator and Research Associate of IRI, who provided additional information about the conference.
Dr. Ahmed noted that researchers can present their papers either physically or online, and registered participants can also participate through either mode. All events and sessions will be live on Facebook, and key events will also be broadcasted live on TV through the broadcasting partner of the conference.
ICSRI 2023 is expected to help identify and explore new directions and paradigms of social research and innovation relevant to the Maldives and applicable in other societies. Abstract submission is open until April 3, 2023, with registration available on the conference website until June 1, 2023. Early-bird registration is available until May 1, 2023.
