On 10 July 2024, Villa College Law Society, Faculty of Sharia and Law in collaboration with the Prosecutor General’s Office and Mom’s Aid NGO successfully hosted a controlled consultation training session at Villa College for law students and representatives from Mom's Aid NGO. The primary objective of the event was to enhance Volunteers knowledge and skills in effectively reporting and addressing cases of domestic violence.
The consultation training led by PG office Public prosecutors Uz. Ahmed Faraas and Uza. Aishath Azleena covered various aspects of domestic violence, including the legal framework, reporting mechanisms, and support services available for victims. Through interactive sessions, case studies, and situation-based exercises, participants gained practical experience and a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in handling domestic violence cases. The event also emphasized the importance of collaboration between law students, NGOs, and legal professionals in creating a supportive network for victims.
Overall, the consultation training was well-received, with positive feedback from participants who appreciated the comprehensive coverage of the topic and the practical insights provided.
