BA (Hons) Primary Education (ITE)

 

This programme adopts an enquiry-based approach to learning, building your skills and deepening your knowledge and understanding through self-directed study. You will work independently and as part of a team, collaborating in study groups, assessments and in early professional practice with fellow students. BA (Hons) Primary Education will prepare you to specialize in the teaching of primary grades, developing your skills to professional teaching standards.

Entry Criteria

3 passes in A Level/HSC (At GCE A/L, a pass is considered E and above. HSC pass is considered C and above)

OR

Attainment of a Level 4 qualification in a related field

OR

Attainment of Level 4 Foundation Study Programme approved for the specific Diploma programme.

Message for potential students

 BAPE course is by far the best course taught in the Maldives focusing in primary teaching. The structure of the course is designed in a way that we get hands on experience at the same time we are developing our theoretical knowledge. With a wonderful support system from the faculty we are getting on the track to become teachers of the next generation.

Creating a teaching portfolio was a wonderful way for me to reflect on what modules I have studied, methods I have used, and importantly what did and did not work. This allowed me to think critically about how to change future classes for the better. It also reminded me how much I enjoy teaching!
