FOUNDATION IN TEACHING

Objectives of the programme

The programme aims to enable students to:

  • demonstrate generalized theoretical and factual knowledge of the theories and concepts of education, and relate them to a range of practical applications;
  • use applied knowledge and understanding, together with routine techniques, to address issues related to teaching in practical contexts;
  • obtain and organize information to make generalisations and suggest solutions for routine problems;
  • apply language and mathematical skills required to undertake further studies
  • use computer skills and applications competently for workplace and educational purposes; and
  • acquire critical thinking skills and research skills that are appropriate for carrying out a range of activities independently for study purposes and for workplace application.

 

Entry Requirement:

  • Three O'Level passes C and above, OR
  • Certificate 3 in a relevant field

Alternative Entry
  • 18 years of age and work experience of one year in a job that required reading, writing and comprehension in the language of instruction

Course Fee: 2,500 per Month
Duration: 1 academic year
Level: MNQF Level 4
